The SlideUnderV2 for MacBook Pro 14″ is officially online.
This update has been a big one - both in terms of performance and build quality - and it’s designed to be future-proof for the latest generation of MacBooks and Thunderbolt accessories.
What’s new in V2?
-
Thunderbolt 5 ready
Full support for 80 Gbps bandwidth and up to 240W power delivery, making it ready for the newest high-performance docks and displays. -
Improved cooling
Larger ventilation openings allow for better airflow and more efficient heat dissipation during sustained workloads. -
Stronger overall structure
The print nozzle was upgraded from 0.4 mm to 0.6 mm, resulting in thicker walls and a noticeably sturdier dock. -
Safer mounting hardware
New screw-mount holes with washers help protect the mount against damage from screw overtightening. -
Thickened base design
The base has been reinforced to provide more clearance and flexibility when using third-party screws.
All changes were made with long-term durability and real-world desk setups in mind.
Why It Took a Bit Longer
This update didn’t happen in isolation.
At the same time, I was also designing a new mount for the Lenovo E16. That project sparked a bigger idea: expanding beyond MacBooks and introducing a dedicated Lenovo lineup.
-
✅ Lenovo E16 - finished
-
🗓 Lenovo E14 - planned for February
-
⏳ Lenovo T14 - planned for the month after
That parallel development is what pushed the timeline a bit — but it also means the product range is growing in a meaningful way.
Product Images Update (“Hero” Images)
We’ve also been working on adding model-specific product photos, including proper Amazon “Hero” images.
These will be added gradually over the coming weeks.
-
Initial focus is on Charcoal Black
-
Other colors will be photographed and added once an order for that color comes in
All mounts are built to order, which allows flexibility in finishes without compromising quality.
Small hint - We are looking into adding Amazon as an extra saleschannel!
As always, thanks for the patience and support. More updates (and more models) are coming soon.
