DockedByDesign Has a New Workspace, and a New Look on Every Box - DockedByDesign

It's been a while since I posted something. A few things happened since the last post that felt worth sharing.

The sticker.

Every box that leaves DockedByDesign will soon get sealed with a closing sticker. Navy background, DBD logo in white and gold, "Sealed · Hand-packed · Vlaardingen · NL" along the bottom. It's a small thing, but it's the kind of small thing that matters. The box feels finished. Intentional. Like something that was put together with care.

Which, for what it's worth, it always has been.

The space.

DockedByDesign has its first dedicated workspace. It's a small unit, about 28 square metres and walking distance from home, in Vlaardingen. For 9 months, everything has been designed, printed, packed, and shipped from a corner of our home. It worked. But between two desks, two printers, filament, boxes, and a growing product line, it was getting tight. Almost every crevice had something for business.

The new space is where the printers will eventually live, where orders will be packed, and where the next products will be built. It's a quiet change from the outside, but it's a significant one from where I'm standing. Bruna already had a meeting in just after we gotten de keys.

The next thing

Some parts of the website have been hinting at it for a while. There's a new product line in the works and with a bit of luck, it'll be ready before the end of Q2. I'm waiting on a key component that's still in transit, so the timeline depends on how the next two to three weeks go. More on that soon.
