DockedByDesign / Build queue

Every model needs two things before I can design its dock.

Ten requests tells me a dock for that laptop is worth the tooling time. A device on my bench lets me test the fit against the real machine, down to the last half millimetre. A row enters design only when it has both.

SORT ORDER: device in hand jumps the queue. Requests alone never do.

THE GOLD BAR: prepay pledges fund the test device. When it fills, I buy the machine and the row unblocks itself.

Counts update by hand as requests come in. Pre-orders open at 149 euro once a row enters design. The number of founder slots differs per model: it is set to cover buying that laptop to test-fit against, so a pricier machine needs a few more founders. No other math behind it.
