Neo Under & Edge Ready, New Screws, Cables & Logo Update | DockedByDesign - DockedByDesign

A lot has been happening behind the scenes this week. Here's the full update.

SlideUnder Neo & SlideEdge — done.

Both mounts are finished and ready. The SlideUnder Standard for MacBook Neo has been measured, modelled, and printed to the same sub-0.1mm port alignment standard as the rest of the lineup. SlideEdge is right there alongside it. SlideWall for Neo will follow — it's next in line, just not there yet.

New screws.

This one's a small detail, but it matters. The current screws have a drilling tip — designed for metal. The new ones are slightly smaller, sit more flush in the frame, and use a wood screw design without the drilling tip. It's a quieter improvement, but long-term it's the right call. Better fit, cleaner install.

3-metre cables incoming.

The 3m USB4 cables are arriving this week. If you've been waiting on those, they're almost here.

A new logo.

The DockedByDesign logo has been through a few iterations. There was an earlier version made with Copilot that served its purpose. Then I wanted something that put more emphasis on the "dock" concept — but the result ended up too wide to work practically. So I went back to the drawing board, worked through a series of mockups, and Bruna took those and turned them into something real.

The new logo is a DBD lettermark in navy and gold, set inside a bracket-shaped frame — a nod to the dock itself. The golden B sits at the centre, but look at it long enough and it also reads as a 3. So the mark quietly says both DBD and 3D at the same time. Bruna brought it to life from a series of mockups we worked through together. It's not live everywhere yet — but it's coming.
