Seat the ring
Peel the backing sticker off the magnetic index ring and seat it in the recess on the underside of the base, adhesive facing out. The magnet holds it in place.

Slide either machine in and it becomes a desktop: one cable per bay, 240W charging and 80Gbps over USB-C. Slide it out and you are gone, no cable clutter left behind.
SlideBase Duo holds two MacBook Pros upright in individually dimensioned slots, so each machine gets a precision fit instead of a compromise. A magnetic index ring sits in a recess in the base and keeps the dock planted while you dock. To undock, swivel the base toward you and pull: the swivel is not a release, it just gives you a natural angle to either bay without leaning over the front machine.
The well-known aluminium vertical docks run Thunderbolt 4 at 40Gbps at a higher price, hold one machine and rely on rubber feet to keep the dock from shifting. SlideBase Duo is printed around your exact pair, passes the full 80Gbps of USB4v2 per bay and locks to the desk with its magnetic index ring.
The all-in-one docking stations do match the speed, but sell it in tiers: one price for a single display, a steeper one for dual, steeper again for triple. SlideBase Duo gives each machine two 80Gbps ports from the get-go, ready for multi-display setups; add a hub if you need one, or plug in the one you already own to complement it.
Elite is printed in fibre reinforced PETG: PETG-CF in Black, PETG-GF in White. Both are stiffer, tougher and far more heat stable than standard filament, so the dock holds its tolerances through summers, sunlight and years of daily docking.

Prep the surface
Clean the spot with the included alcohol wipe and let it dry for a moment. The adhesive bonds best on a clean, dust-free desk.

Press to bond
Place the dock where you want it and press down firmly for a few seconds. The ring bonds to the desk and nests into the base, so the dock stays planted but lifts off when you want it to.

Plug in and slide down
Connect your USB-C cables to the base. MacBooks closed, logos facing you, each machine slides down into its own slot. Swivel the base toward you to reach either bay.

Why is this an early release?
SlideBase is printed to order and some models are designed on demand. If your model is a first run, your order might take a few days longer to process while we validate the fit on a real machine.
Which MacBook pairs fit?
SlideBase Duo is MacBook Pro only, with two individually dimensioned slots. Listed pairs: Dual MBP14 M1-M4, Dual MBP14 M5, Dual MBP16 M1-M5, MBP14 M1-M4 + MBP14 M5, MBP14 M1-M4 + MBP16 M1-M5 and MBP14 M5 + MBP16 M1-M5. If your two machines are not listed, select Custom and we will build the base around them.
How does the Custom option work?
Select the Custom variant, then email custom@dockedbydesign.com with the exact configuration of both MacBooks: model, size and chip generation (for example MBP14 M3 + MBP16 M1). We confirm the fit before the build starts, and the base is dimensioned around your exact pair. Custom builds take approximately 5 extra business days.
How fast does it ship?
Orders ship from Rotterdam, Netherlands within 1–2 business days. Delivery within the Netherlands and Belgium typically takes 1–3 business days. European orders are usually delivered within 2–4 business days. International shipping (US, AU) takes 2–6 business days depending on the destination.
What's the return policy?
If you're not satisfied, you can return your SlideBase within 30 days of delivery. Contact support@dockedbydesign.com to arrange your return.

SlideBase Pro is printed in matte PLA. SlideBase Elite is printed in fibre reinforced PETG: carbon fibre in black, glass fibre in white, both stiffer and far more heat stable. Every unit is printed to order and quality-checked by hand in Rotterdam before shipping.
